Over half of Poles to spend New Year’s Eve at home

A new survey from CBOS pollsters finds that 59 percent of Poles are to spend New Year’s Eve at home.

Only 16 percent of respondents stated that they would attend house parties with friends to see in 2015, while a mere 7 percent said that they plan on going to a ball, restaurant or bar to celebrate New Year’s Eve.

Only 2 percent of Poles said they would leave their town of residence for 31 December, and only 1 percent said they will attend a mass gathering, such as New Year’s Eve celebrations put on by a number of cities across Poland.

An unfortunate 1 percent will spend New Year’s at work.

However, 11 percent of respondents said that they still do not have any plans for New Year’s Eve.

The poll was conducted among 936 adult Poles between 4-11 December.
