Polish photographer saves eagle! In spectacular way [video]

In a drone captured video, a Polish nature photographer, Krzysztof Chomicz is seen saving the life a white-tailed eagle named Icarus stuck in thick coastal mud near Swinoujscie.

After several failed attempts to rescue the eagle with a team of local firefighters, Chomicz dragged himself through the sludge to reach the trapped bird using a rope leading to dry land. The bird attacked Chomicz in the arm and leg before he was able to carry it back to safety.

The local reports confirm that the eagle was cleaned and taken care of by wildlife conservation workers in Swinoujscie before being transferred to a refuge in Szczecin. According to the experts, it was the first flight of the six-month-old eagle that ended in the mud.

The Polish photographer, Chomicz shares his love for nature by saving birds in trouble. Last summer, he had rescued another white-tailed eagle stuck in the mud near the same area. In 2014, National Geographic website published a striking photo of two eagles taken by Chomicz.
